How It Works

Everything you need to know about buying and selling restomods in our online marketplace.

What makes our auctions different?

Expert Listings

Seller works with our experts to create a comprehensive and transparent listing showcasing the time and money put into every vehicle.

Mechanic Reviewed

Each vehicle listing is reviewed by a RestoMods mechanic to better inform bidders and give buyers confidence in the build.

Enthusiast Community

Over the last decade, RestoMods has built a dedicated and engaged community of knowledgable enthusiasts who understand the classic car market.

Curated Listings

Our mission is simple: We source well built classic american vehicles at a variety of price points and styles. From daily drivers to projects to SEMA builds, your dream car is here.

Submit Your Vehicle

Start your submission through our easy to use intake form. For Just $99, our team will build a professional listing and launch your 7-day auction.

The Process
  • 1. Submit: Sellers submit their vehicle details and photos to be considered.
  • 2. Review: Our experts work with the seller to understand every detail and prepare a professional listing which showcases your vehicle.
  • 3. Launch: Your listing goes live for 7 days.
  • 4. Success: If reserve is met, we will connect you with the buyer to complete the transaction. If the reserve is not met, we will connect you directly with the high bidder so you can still make a deal.

How our Live Auctions Work

The Process
  • Timed Auction: Every auction is live for seven days. Each listing features a full informational overview and seller tootls.
  • Community Engagement: Community Engagement is key - sellers are encouraged to answer questions in the comments to boost bidder confidence.
  • Bidders: Bidders can use the "Contact Seller" button for private inquiries or in person inspection requests.
  • Sellers: Sellers can remove their reserve at any time.

How Bidding Works

Registration is free but required to place a bid. All bids require a credit card hold equal to the buyer's fee; this is released for non-winning bidders immediately after the close.

Bidding Policies
  • Fees are clearly displayed in the bid box before you confirm.
  • Sniping protection resets the clock to 2:00 minutes on every final bid.
  • Due diligence is the bidder's responsibility—review the comments and listing thoroughly.

The Post-Auction Process

No Reserve / Reserve Met

Once the auction is closed, we provide contact information to both parties so the buyer and seller can finalize the transaction and arrange shipping directly.

Reserve Not Met

If the reserve isn’t met, we provide the seller with the highest bidder's contact information so they can negotiate directly to reach a deal.
