Wrench Report
RestoMods Head Mechanic. 20 year classic car mechanic & builder.
If you've heard of Fesler USA, then you know they are no stranger to grabbing maximum attention with their custom high-end builds. This '66 Lincoln Continental is a spectacular full-custom roadster that redefines automotive luxury with a massive dose of modern adrenaline. This radically reshaped cruiser houses a rowdy 556-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 crate engine paired with a heavy-duty 4L85E automatic transmission. The execution is phenomenal, showcasing a sinister DuPont gloss black finish, shaved door handles, custom tailfins, an adjustable AccuAir suspension, and a breathtaking gray-and-red diamond-stitched leather cockpit. If the sound of that LSA V8 isn't enough for you, that maxed-out sound system will be icing on the cake.
Description
This 1966 Lincoln Continental is a full-custom roadster conversion that was acquired by the current owner as a standard two-door coupe in September of 2025. The vehicle underwent a multi-year build at Fesler USA in Phoenix, Arizona, where it was transformed into an open-top roadster powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8. In addition to the powertrain conversion, the car features extensive body restructuring, a bespoke custom leather cabin, and a fully modern air-ride chassis. Showing 840 miles since completion, this highly modified Continental is offered by a private seller with a clean Ohio title.

The exterior was heavily modified by removing the roof structure, fabricating a chopped and raked windshield frame, and extending the rear quarter panels by more than six inches to incorporate custom-fabricated tailfins. The body panels were smoothed, the door handles were shaved, and the front and rear bumpers were tucked and smoothed before a finish of gloss black DuPont paint was applied. Custom metal trim pieces were fabricated to replace stock brightwork, and electric door and trunk poppers were integrated to operate via remote key fob.

The car rides on 22-inch polished Fesler smoothie wheels wrapped in 255/30 Toyo Proxes tires.

The smoothed engine bay houses a supercharged 6.2-liter GM Performance LSA V8 crate engine that was factory rated at 556 horsepower. The engine features an All American Billet serpentine accessory drive and a custom-fabricated engine cover accented with Lincoln Continental badging. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and electrical routing is managed by a Ron Francis wiring system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM Performance 4L85E four-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73:1 gearing and upgraded drive axles.

The factory chassis configuration was replaced with a Scott's Hotrods independent front assembly and a Devious Customs four-link rear setup. An AccuAir air suspension system features integrated air springs supplied by dual VIAIR compressors, allowing for adjustable ride height. Stopping power is provided by a Hydratech power-assist braking system linked to Baer six-piston calipers pressing on oversized rotors at all four corners. The undercarriage features a custom-routed stainless-steel dual exhaust system equipped with Magnaflow mufflers.

The cabin features a completely custom layout upholstered in gray leather that extends across the door panels and dashboard pad, complemented by red inserts with diamond-patterned stitching and embroidered Lincoln logos on the seatbacks.

A custom metal dashboard is painted to match the exterior and houses an Ididit tilt steering column, an integrated Vintage Air climate control system, and a suite of Dakota Digital instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and an 8,000-rpm tachometer.

A Pioneer 7-inch touchscreen digital media receiver manages an extensive JL Audio sound system consisting of a 1,000-watt amplifier, two 300-watt amplifiers, eight 6.5-inch marine-grade speakers, and two 12-inch subwoofers mounted under transparent covers in the trunk. Red LED light strips provide accent illumination throughout the cockpit and trunk areas.
