Wrench Report
RestoMods Head Mechanic. 20 year classic car mechanic & builder.
This Chevelle feels like a well-sorted pro-touring build designed to be driven and enjoyed, not just shown off. The combination of the 400 small block, overdrive transmission, upgraded suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes should make it feel far more refined and comfortable than a typical mid-'60s A-body, especially on longer drives. The shaved firewall, updated electrical system, Dynamat insulation, and full custom interior all point toward a build that focused on drivability and overall finish quality, not just performance. The bright orange paint and larger wheel package give it a bold look while still keeping the classic Chevelle character intact. I'd still want to see detailed undercarriage and engine bay photos to really judge the craftsmanship, but overall this comes across as a clean, modernized restomod with the kind of balance that makes you want to get in and drive it anywhere.
Description
The 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle has been modified with a 400ci small-block Chevrolet V8 paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission. The build includes upgraded suspension, braking, electrical, climate control, and audio systems along with a full custom leather interior and extensive sound insulation throughout the cabin. The orange exterior was refinished several years ago, and the seller reports fewer than 1,200 miles have been accumulated since completion of the build. Located in Oak Hills, CA, this Chevelle is being offered by the private seller with a clean California title.
