Wrench Report

RestoMods Head Mechanic. 20 year classic car mechanic & builder.

This Camaro feels like a properly sorted big block street car. The combination of the 454, four-speed, and upgraded suspension gives it the kind of raw muscle car personality people want out of a first-gen Camaro, but the supporting upgrades are what really make this one stand out. The Detroit Speed components, updated steering, and Wilwood brakes should make it feel far more controlled than a typical old-school big block car, while the Holley EFI setup takes away a lot of the usual carburetor headaches and makes it much more enjoyable to actually drive. I also like seeing the recent drivetrain servicing because pulling everything apart to reseal and inspect it usually means the owner cared about making the car right, not just making it shiny. The interior upgrades and custom trunk work fit the overall build well without losing the character of the car, and overall this comes across as a well-rounded restomod.RestoMods Auctions - Sourcing Cars
