Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was built as a Z/28-style restomod and was acquired by the seller out of Wisconsin approximately seven years ago. Originally a 6 cylinder base model from the factory, the car was fitted with a 454ci V8 and later purchased by the current owner roughly 97% complete. Subsequent work was handled by local shops including the installation of a four-speed automatic transmission, updated headers, traction bars, and an aftermarket audio system. Now located in San Leandro, California, the coupe shows 7,000 miles since the build was completed and is offered with a clean Wisconsin title.

The body is finished in Copper Cinnamon paint with classic Z/28-style stripes across the hood and rear deck. Exterior features include a front spoiler, a rear lip spoiler, and a cowl-induction hood. The seller notes four-inch factory seam cracks on either side of the roof structure that are visible upon close inspection.

The car rides on 17-inch polished aluminum Billet Specialites wheels at all four corners, and the glass and exterior trim remain in place.

The engine bay houses a 454ci big-block V8 equipped with a Holley 770-cfm carburetor, MSD Ignition and distributor. Spent gases exit through Samson headers installed approximately three years ago, which feed into a 2.5-inch dual exhaust system with two-chamber Flowmaster mufflers exiting at the rear. The seller notes that while the engine does not smoke at startup or during city driving, it exhibits smoke from the tailpipes under acceleration at highway speeds. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a shift kit, which leads to a 10-bolt Posi-traction rear end that was completely rebuilt with replacement axles two years ago.

The front chassis has been updated with aftermarket tubular A-arms, while the rear suspension is fitted with CPP traction bars installed three years ago. Braking is handled by power-assisted Wilwood six-piston calipers over drilled and slotted rotors at the front, complemented by standard drum brakes at the rear. The undercarriage displays the updated exhaust routing and the refreshed rear axle assembly.

The cabin features an original-style white vinyl interior with matching bucket seats and door panels, showing no rips or tears. A custom aluminum steering wheel is mounted to a chrome tilt column, and the horn is functional. The dashboard houses a full suite of AutoMeter instrumentation to monitor fuel level, engine speed, oil pressure, and coolant temperature, though the speedometer currently requires a replacement cable. A Kenwood Bluetooth head unit has been custom-installed in the dash and is wired to two 6.5-inch speakers in the front kick panels and two 6x9-inch speakers in the rear package tray, and a 1200 watt amplifier. The factory heater is functional, though one control switch handle is broken, and the car is not equipped with air conditioning.
