Wrench Report
RestoMods Head Mechanic. 20 year classic car mechanic & builder.
This 1971 Camaro is easily a clean, well-executed restomod build with a lot to like here for hardcore enthusiasts. The heart of this beast is that Shafiroff 540 big block, and since it's an all-aluminum Brodix setup, you're getting that massive 676 horsepower without the weight penalty of a traditional iron block. It's going to have a real visceral, high-end feel when you're grabbing gears on the TKO600, especially with the 3.90 gears in that Moser 12-bolt ready to plant those Mickey Thompsons. The level of detail here is incredible, from the flush-mounted bumpers and Anvil carbon fiber aero to the Ring Brothers billet pieces that tie the whole look together. Inside, the carbon fiber work and diamond-stitched Corbeau seats give it a modern, aggressive cockpit vibe (perhaps a little more carbon and diamond stitch than I'd prefer personally), but it's the overall mechanical sortedness--like the QA1 double-adjustables and Wilwood 6-pistons--that really makes this car a standout. I would've liked to see a rear coilover swap and A/C on a build of this caliber but you can tell the car does have upgraded leaf springs. The car has a crazy sound system that will probably always compete for noise with that big block, but that comes down to driver preference. Overall, the build quality actually matches the insane spec sheet and that is what wins awards. I mean just look at photo #5 in the gallery, there's a giant car show trophy next to the car. I hope to see Camaro fans raving in the comments for this one.
Description
Originally assembled at the Norwood, Ohio plant, this 1971 Chevy Camaro restomod originally came from the factory as a Sport Coupe with the 307ci small block Turbo-Fire V8 and 3 speed automatic transmission. According to the seller, the car has since gone through substantial restoration and modification that was done sometime between 2016 and 2018 by SC Classics of New York. This Camaro now has a 540ci Shafiroff Racing all-aluminum big block V8 paired to a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle features a considerable list of other upgrades, such as QA1 double adjustable shocks, Wilwood disc brakes, a Moser 12-bolt rear end, and much more. The seller notes there are only 6,000 miles on the car since the restoration and modification was completed. The car was purchased by the current seller on Bring A Trailer in April of 2023 and is now being offered with a clean Massachusetts title in the seller's name.

What a great deal that was. Congratulations on your new car. It’s a beast.
Can receipts and build documentation be provided from the builder "SC Classics"
The car looks awesome, just on concern. It appears to have original chassis, I am not sure how it can handle the new powertrain upgrade
This car looks amazing This engine and drive train alone is worth all the money. You can’t build this car for under 200g
Interested in seeing what the reserve is. Nice ride. Think I could annoy a lot of neighbors with this.
