This '71 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a spectacular 4x4 restomod that beautifully blends vintage off-road styling with premium modern utility. Turning heads with an impeccable two-tone gray paint scheme and a matching white removable hardtop, it relies on a potent 6.0-liter LS V8 paired with a smooth 4L60E automatic transmission. The execution is masterful, boasting a heavy-duty 3/4-ton axle swap, a custom plaid-accented TMI interior, and a modern Vintage Air climate control system.

Description

This 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a four-wheel-drive restomod that underwent a full restoration at some point before being acquired by the seller. The truck features a modern 6.0-liter LS V8, an updated automatic transmission, a revised suspension system, and a custom TMI interior. Now showing 547 miles since the completion of the build, this Arizona-based first-generation K5 Blazer is offered for sale with a clean title.

The exterior has been refinished in a two-tone gray paint scheme with a white removable hardtop. The truck features a raised stance resulting from its updated chassis components and rides on aftermarket wheels mounted with replacement all-terrain tires. The chrome bumpers, grille, mirrors, and dual exhaust tips have been replaced, and the cargo area is accessed via a separately opening rear glass window and tailgate.

The engine bay houses a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated LS V8 engine swap, equipped with a FiTech electronic fuel injection system, FiTech intake manifold in black, and black valve covers. Fuel is housed by a Tanks Inc. '69-'72 Blazer frame mounted EFI gas tank. The compartment has been updated with a new fuel tank and a fresh Flowmaster 3 inch exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a replacement 4L60E automatic transmission, a 241 electronic speedo dual-range transfer case, and a 3/4-ton axle swap that replaces the factory axle assemblies for increased durability.

The chassis has been completely overhauled with a new suspension system and replacement shocks at all four corners to support the heavy-duty axle configuration. Braking performance has been updated with the installation of front disc brakes, while standard drums are retained in the rear. The undercarriage displays the updated drivetrain integration, new exhaust routing, and the replacement fuel tank mounted between the rear frame rails. The Blazer has 2 black Skyjacker lift stabilizers installed but will include the matching silver Fox stabilizers.

The cabin features a custom TMI interior upholstered in black vinyl with gray plaid fabric inserts on the front bucket seats, rear bench, interior and bed door panels. The center console includes integrated cup holders, and the front seatbacks feature TMI embroidery. Driver amenities include a new Vintage Air climate control system, a Billet Specialties steering wheel with a Bous Performance tilt column, and a replacement set of Dakota Digital gauges. A Pioneer head unit with USB and auxiliary inputs has been installed in the dashboard to manage the audio system.
